Our commitment
Wise Property Tax is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance status
Wise Property Tax’s web platform aims to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
As of March 2026, our most recent independent audit by Deque Systems found Wise Property Tax to be WCAG 2.1 AA conformant across our marketing pages and the authenticated dashboard, with the following limited exceptions tracked for resolution:
- Color-contrast on certain status-pill components in the dashboard (
1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum)) — fix scheduled Q2 2026. - The interactive mortgage-rate slider is operable by keyboard but does not yet announce live-region updates to screen readers (
4.1.3 Status Messages) — fix in active development.
Assistive technologies we test against
- NVDA (latest) on Windows 11 with Firefox & Chrome
- JAWS 2024 on Windows 11 with Edge & Chrome
- VoiceOver on macOS Sonoma + Safari and on iOS 17 + Safari
- TalkBack on Android 14 + Chrome
- Dragon NaturallySpeaking 16 (full-page navigation)
- Keyboard-only navigation across all flows
- Display reflow up to 400% zoom on a 1280-pixel viewport
Features that support accessibility
- Semantic HTML throughout, with proper landmarks (
nav, main, footer) and heading order. - Skip-to-content link on every page (visible on focus).
- All form fields have visible labels (no placeholder-only labeling).
- All interactive controls have a visible focus ring at 3:1 minimum contrast.
- Color is never the sole conveyor of meaning — every status uses an icon or text label too.
- Animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion. - The site supports zoom to 400% without horizontal scrolling on a 1280px viewport.
- Live regions (
aria-live) announce form errors, save states, and asynchronous updates.
