Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Wise Property Tax LLC. Plain-English summary at the top of every section.

Effective: March 1, 2026 · Version 4.2 · support@wisepropertytax.com

1. The agreement

In plain English: by using Wise Property Tax, you agree to these terms. They are a contract between you and Wise Property Tax LLC.

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, APIs, and services offered by Wise Property Tax LLC ("Wise Property Tax," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using any part of the Wise Property Tax service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and providing accurate information about your property.

You must be at least 18 years old and a legal owner (or authorized representative of a legal owner) of any property you submit. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it promptly. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activity that occurs under your account. You can review recent sign-in and account-change activity at any time from your account page.

3. The service

Wise Property Tax helps you appeal an unfair property-tax assessment using public records and a transparent comparable-sales methodology.

Wise Property Tax offers a single tier: free, forever, for every homeowner. Everything in the dashboard — AI-drafted appeal letters, comparable-sales analysis, and evidence packets — is included at no cost. Wise Property Tax is a software toolkit, not a licensed property-tax-consultant firm; you submit the appeal in your own name. We may evolve the feature set over time but will provide reasonable notice of any material change.

4. Fees and payment

Wise Property Tax is free. There is no subscription, no per-property fee, and we never take a percentage of your savings.

The core service is provided free of charge. If we ever introduce a paid feature it will be opt-in, clearly priced in U.S. Dollars, and non-recurring unless explicitly disclosed at checkout. We do not auto-renew without explicit consent. If we offer paid features, payment will be processed by Stripe under their terms; we never store your card details.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Cancel anytime in one click. Full refund if your appeal has not yet been filed.

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Wise Property Tax does not file appeals on your behalf — the AI assistant drafts your packet and you sign and submit it directly to your county. There is nothing to cancel because there is no charge.

6. Authority and authorization

You — not Wise Property Tax — file the appeal. The AI assistant drafts the materials; you review, sign, and submit them under your own name.

Wise Property Tax is a software tool. The AI assistant produces draft appeal letters, comparable-sales analyses, and evidence packets based on the public-records data we pull and the inputs you provide. You are the named protester on every filing — you review, edit, sign, and submit the materials directly to your county. We do not communicate with the assessor on your behalf, do not negotiate informal offers, and do not appear at hearings. If you would like an attorney or licensed property-tax consultant to represent you, we recommend hiring one in your jurisdiction.

7. Warranties and disclaimers

We do our best, but no one can guarantee a tax appeal outcome.

Wise Property Tax is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that any specific appeal will succeed or that any specific value reduction will result. Property tax law and assessment practice vary by jurisdiction; outcomes depend on county evidence, hearing officer decisions, and other factors outside our control. Wise Property Tax is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wise Property Tax's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Wise Property Tax in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Wise Property Tax shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Disputes and arbitration

Most issues we can resolve with a phone call. If we cannot, disputes are resolved by binding arbitration in New Castle County, Delaware — but you can opt out within 30 days.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in New Castle County, Delaware. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms by emailing support@wisepropertytax.com with the subject line "Arbitration opt-out." Class arbitration is not permitted; each party brings claims in their individual capacity.

10. General terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms remain in effect. We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify you of any material change at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
