Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Wise Property Tax LLC. Plain-English summary at the top of every section.

Effective: March 1, 2026 · Version 4.2 · legal@wisepropertytax.com

1. The agreement

In plain English: by using Wise Property Tax, you agree to these terms. They are a contract between you and Wise Property Tax LLC.

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, APIs, and services offered by Wise Property Tax LLC ("Wise Property Tax," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using any part of the Wise Property Tax service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and providing accurate information about your property.

You must be at least 18 years old and a legal owner (or authorized representative of a legal owner) of any property you submit. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it promptly. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activity that occurs under your account. We support multi-factor authentication and strongly recommend you enable it.

3. The service

Wise Property Tax helps you appeal property taxes, monitor your mortgage rate, watch your title for fraud, and compare insurance — using public records and licensed-appraiser methodology.

Wise Property Tax offers a "DIY" tier (free) and a "Pro" tier ($99/year flat) that includes representation by a licensed property tax consultant or appraiser in your state. The features available may evolve, but we will not materially reduce paid features mid-term without offering a pro-rated refund.

4. Fees and payment

Pro is $99 per property per year, billed when you sign up. We never take a percentage of your savings.

All fees are stated in U.S. Dollars and are non-recurring unless explicitly disclosed. We will email you 30 days before any renewal with a one-click cancel link. We do not auto-renew without explicit consent. Payment is processed by Stripe under their terms; we never store your card details.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Cancel anytime in one click. Full refund if your appeal has not yet been filed.

You can cancel at any time from your account page. If we have not yet filed an appeal on your behalf, you receive a full refund. If your appeal has been filed but not yet decided, we will continue representing you through the decision and pro-rate any unused additional services.

6. Authority and authorization

When you use Pro, you authorize us to file your appeal as your licensed representative. You can revoke this anytime.

By upgrading to Pro, you grant Wise Property Tax (or our state-licensed contractor) limited authority to file your property-tax protest, communicate with the assessor on your behalf, and accept or decline informal offers up to the value-cap you set. You can revoke this authority at any time via your account or by emailing revoke@wisepropertytax.com.

7. Warranties and disclaimers

We do our best, but no one can guarantee a tax appeal outcome.

Wise Property Tax is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that any specific appeal will succeed or that any specific value reduction will result. Property tax law and assessment practice vary by jurisdiction; outcomes depend on county evidence, hearing officer decisions, and other factors outside our control. Wise Property Tax is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wise Property Tax's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Wise Property Tax in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Wise Property Tax shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Disputes and arbitration

Most issues we can resolve with a phone call. If we cannot, disputes are resolved by binding arbitration in Travis County, Texas — but you can opt out within 30 days.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in Travis County, Texas. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms by emailing legal@wisepropertytax.com with the subject line "Arbitration opt-out." Class arbitration is not permitted; each party brings claims in their individual capacity.

10. General terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms remain in effect. We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify you of any material change at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
